Central Europe has not only a rich history but it also has a rich natural environment. On this 10 day trip, you’ll get to see the best of both sides of Central Europe as you traipse around Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia. The trip begins in the beautiful capital city of Vienna, once the seat of the Holy Roman Empire. You’ll be able to walk through all the historical sites of the Hofburg palace, Schonbrunn Palace, and the Museums Quarter. Then, you’ll cruise your way down the Danube to a hilltop alley in Melk. Then, when you arrive in the beautiful Slovenian countryside Banovci, you’ll be able to walk along the beautiful Mur, before tasting delicious local wine on the way to Ljubljana. While you only spend one day in Ljubljana, you will have the chance to go on a walking tour of all the iconic attractions like the Central open-air market, Robba’s Fountain, Ljubljana Castle, and the Virtual Museum. You’ll then end your trip in the capital city of Zagreb,
where you can enjoy a mix of local food and wine before exploring the UNESCO-protected Plitvice Lakes National Park to see spectacular waterfalls, green alpine forests, and crystal clear lakes.
