Among the most beautiful and breathtaking cities in Europe Vienna, Prague, Krakow, and Warsaw can arguably top the list. This 9 day trip will take you to everywhere you need to go in these cities. Right when you get off the place in Vienna you’ll be swept away to the signature city sites of Schonbrunn Palace, a former residence of Austrian emperors before being driven out to vineyards for wine tastings. Then, in Prague you’ll walk through the medieval quarters and historic monuments. Then, you’ll head to Krakow, Poland to visit an UNESCO listed underground salt cathedral, the Royal Castle, and take a tour of Market Square among other impressive sites. Then, in Warsaw, Poland’s capital, you will take a deeply emotional and moving visit to Auschwitz, the Nazi extermination camp, and cultural visit to the Royal Castle. This trip will definitely be one to remember.

Weather and Climate

Austria is located in a temperate climate zone, and experiences all four seasons, each having their own typical temperature and characteristics. The eastern region of the country experiences low precipitation, hot summers but only moderately cold winters. Alpine regions are home to high precipitation (except inner Alpine valley regions such as the upper Inntal), short summers and long winters.

Day 1 :Vienna

Today, you begin your adventure in Austria. After you arrive, you will greeted by an airport transfer and English speaking driver to help you check in to your hotel and give you your welcome package to Vienna.

Day 2 :Vienna - 4 hour city tour, 5 hour Vineyards of Vienna tour

You’ll go on a 6 hour tour of Vienna today. You’ll hit all of the most significant sights like the MAK, Museum of Fine Arts, State Opera House, Museums Quarter, Parliament, City Hall, the Habsburg winter residence the Hofburg, and Schonbrunn Palace. To cap off your day, you’ll go to Wieningers winery for the best of Austrian wine.

Day 3 :Vienna - Prague - (6.5 hours)

Take a transfer to Prague with a 3 hour stop at Cesky Krumlov to go over the fabled Barber’s Bridge and then down to the Red Gate at Latran around the castle. Then, you’ll be on your way to Prague at night.

Day 4 :Prague - 4 hour city tour

On a private day city tour, you’ll visit all of the historic monuments that you cannot miss like the State Opera, Wenceslas Square, Prague Castle, Charles Square, and the National Museum. Then, you can cross the Vltava River to see St. Nicholas Church, Tyn Cathedral, and Old Town Hall.

Day 5 :Prague - Krakow (5-6 hour)

Today you’ll take a transfer to Krakow. When you get there, you have time to explore the city for a bit on your own.

Day 6 :Krakow - 4 hour city tour

Krakow is the capital of Poland and once the seat of kings which is reflected by the number of great historical sites to be visited like the renaissance Royal Castle at Wawel, St. Mary’s Basilica, Cloth Hall, Collegium Maius, and the Czartoryski Museum. The highlight of today will be the Wieliczka Salt Mine, a UNESCO Human Heritage Site which descends 64 meters underground.

Day 7 :Krakow - Warsaw

Today, you’ll take a transfer to Warsaw with stops at Auschwitz, the Nazi extermination camp and the Holocaust Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This tour of the site will begin with a 15 minute documentary introduction before a visit to the barracks in Auschwitz I and the extermination camp at Auschwitz II - Birkenau.

Day 8 :Warsaw - 4 hour city tour, 4 hour Communist Tour

Go on a city tour of Poland’s capital where you will pass by and learn about the enclosed courtyards of Varsovian houses, the mausoleum of a Russian tsar, and the Royal Castle which is the seat of the Senate and a symbol of Polish statehood as this was where the Polish Constitution was signed and passed. Then, you’ll end the night with a tour of Polish Communism History with visit to Constitution Square, Palace of Culture and Science, and more.

Day 9 :Warsaw

Pack your bags and enjoy a last Polish breakfast before you have to get ready and be on your way to the airport for your flight home.
